Bone Sourcing
All bones have been foraged, cleaned and treated by myself and are sourced from animals that have died of natural causes or that are found as roadkill. Bones used are never purchased from third sources and animals are never harmed for bone collection. Bone adornments are intentionally crafted to honor and give new life to the animals they come from.
Materials Used
Unless stated in the description, all metal used is stainless steel and will not tarnish with wear or with contact with water. Pieces can be polished and cleaned to restore shine once they have been worn. Caution should be taken with pearl and bone pieces to ensure longevity of these materials. Pieces with bones should not be worn in very high humidity or water and should be hung to store when not being worn.
Made to Order Pieces
Made to order pieces are made once an order is placed, if your piece is made to order it will be stated so in the description. Made to order earrings may take up to 3 weeks to ship and necklaces may take up to 5 weeks to ship. Pieces are often shipped before this time but this frame allows for shipping variances in materials.
Sizing
As stated in the description of necklaces, sizing can be adjusted for most pieces available to ensure pieces can fit as intended. You can put your altered sizing information in the "comments" section when completing your purchase (best for made to order pieces) or you can shoot me an email through the "contact" link on the site to let me know what size adjustment is needed (best for one-offs and ready to ship pieces).
Customs
I am not currently accepting custom requests although this may change in the future. If you are interested in a slight alteration to a piece, ie. changing out pearls for different variance of pearls or stainless steel charms, I can usaully make these accomodations. If you are local to Bellingham, WA and have a particular bone you are interested in turning into jewelry I am sometimes able to do this, feel free to reach out through email if you are interested in a project like this.
